Recruitment of the Technician of Natural Products Research group

Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) is offering fixed term position of the technician of Natural Products Research (NPR) group. The position is offered within the call HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-TALENTS-01 ERA Chair project Natalion.

The main research directions of the NPR group will be:

  • accessing microbial diversity unique to Baltic area
  • setting up collections of microbial fermentation extracts
  • establishing genomic and metabolomics platforms.

Responsibilities and obligations
  • To manage and maintain the microbial strains collection
  • To assist in microbial stains collection and post-process
  • To perform large scale cultivation of microbial strains
  • To perform general lab assigned duties such as inventory, consumables order, and others
  • To adhere to ethical standards
  • To respect contractual and legal obligations
  • To act according to professional standards.
