A call for proposal applications for academic career grants is announced by the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) and the Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre (BMC).
Academic career grants are individual grants aimed at supporting the academic career development of the project applicant.
The following types of academic career grants are available:
- Postdoctoral grants – funding available through a competitive process for Latvian or foreign researchers.
- Scientist (Professor) grants – funding available through a competitive process for individual projects of scientists, with the aim of creating new knowledge and technological insights, supporting the individual research projects of the most outstanding scientists in preparation for the introduction of the tenure system in Latvia.
