Seminar on Microbial Natural Products Research: International Experts to Present at LIOS

On Wednesday, 30th October, from 9:30 to 16:15, a seminar focused on the research of natural compounds, The Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Study in Microbial Natural Products, will take place in the Great Hall of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis.
We warmly invite interested participants to register.

The seminar will feature lectures from leading scientists across four countries:
– Prof. Tilmann Weber, Technical University of Denmark (The molecular treasure hunt – mining genomic data for novel bioactives);
– Prof. Marnix Medema, Wageningen University (Computational omics to predict natural product structures and functions);
– Prof. Lena Barra, University of Konstanz (Discovery and biosynthesis of non-canonical natural products);
– Dr. Aleks Nivina, University of Zurich (Gene conversion drives natural product diversification in soil bacteria).

For further details and registration, please visit the Natalion website: https://natalion.osi.lv/workshops
Registration is open until 18th October.

This event is organised under the framework of the project Natural Products Research at the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis as a Driver for Excellence in Innovation (Natalion).
