Published a Method of Synthesis and Use of Trifluoromethylthiolated Ketenimines

Dr. Nadia Pikun (Laboratory of Membrane Active Compounds and β-diketones ), while continuing studies of fluorine chemistry within her PostDoc project, spent 3 months in the University of Strasbourg. Together with French colleagues, she elaborated a method of synthesis of trifluoromethylthiolated ketenimines that now has been published in a high impact journal – Chemistry A European Journal (IF=4.857, 2019).

In the publication, the authors showed that trifluoromethylthiolated ketenimines react under metal-free conditions with a variety of nucleophiles forming acylic trifluoromethylthiolated products as well.
