Optimized reagents for fluoromethylene-transfer chemistry

Continuing studies of the properties and reactivity of fluoromethylsulfonium salts Janis Veliks et al. (Organic Synthesis Methodology group) has reported redesigned reagents for fluoromethylene transfer chemistry. An efficient fluorocyclopropanation protocol using new reagents to access a range of monofluorinated cyclopropane derivatives has been reported as well. The research has been published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry (IF 2019: 4.335).
