New structural and functional insights on catechol-based PDE4D inhibitors

Researchers from groups led by Dr. Emilio Parisini (LIOS, Biotechnology group) and Dr. Olga Bruno have designed, synthesized, and performed the biological evaluation and structural characterization of novel PDE4D inhibitors. The enzymes of the phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) family are involved in memory and cognitive functions.

These studies are published in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (IF = 6.514).
