LIOS scientists describe aspects of energy substrate metabolism and mitochondrial oxidative stress in cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury

Scientists from the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Pharmacology (LIOS) in collaboration with colleges from COST Action “EU‐CARDIOPROTECTION” in their latest review article explores the mechanisms of ROS production within the energy metabolism pathways and focuses on the impact of different substrates. Research has been published in the journal “Free Radical Biology & Medicine” (IF = 6.17, 2020).
